Sound Composition and Creative Technologies

My teaching practice focuses on the intersection of composition, DIY technologies, and experimental performance. I designed and led the two-year course Sound Composition and Creative Technologies at the composition department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where students develop compositional thinking through hands-on work with sound, systems, materials and media. In parallel, I have led long-term workshops and laboratories such as Experimental Instrumentation and Media Performance (initiated in 2014), centered on building, hacking, and performing with custom instruments, and Visible Electromagnetism, a photovoltaic laboratory exploring light and other electromagnetic phenomena as compositional and performative material.
